Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)

An ANP is qualified to assess, diagnose and treat many common health conditions.

The ANP can:

  • Conduct clinical examinations
  • Diagnose illnesses
  • Prescribe medication
  • Order tests
  • Refer patients to specialists

Conditions commonly managed by ANPs:

  • Respiratory infections
  • Ear, nose and throat conditions
  • Skin complaints
  • Urinary symptoms
  • Musculoskeletal pain

Choosing the Right Clinician

When you contact the practice, you may be offered an ANP appointment rather than a GP appointment.
This helps us provide timely care and ensures GP appointments remain available for patients with more complex medical needs.
